Highland Bank

Highland Bank

Shea designed Highland Bank's latest freestanding branch in Burnsville which opened in October, 2005. The bank occupies 4,500 square feet of an 8,000 square foot freestanding building and the remainder of the space is being leased to retail and office tenants. The site includes 50 parking stalls and three drive-through teller lanes with one ATM.

Shea provided programming, design and construction oversight for the branch buildout. The design of the interior is contemporary with rich tones and natural elements including wood and stone. The space is warm and welcoming with a focus on creating a feeling of community. It is located in Nicollet Plaza, an upscale, mixed-use development that is part of a 54-acre redevelopment project with the City of Burnsville, known as the "Heart of the City." Located at the intersection of Nicollet Avenue and Highway 13 and anchored by a Cub Food Store, Nicollet Plaza is the primary retail service center for the entire redevelopment.
