Owners Megan and Mike Tamte had a concept for a distinctive boutique that sells fashionable clothing and accessories to mothers in a welcoming and child-friendly atmosphere with a service strategy that encourages, nurtures, and supports mothers. They worked with Shea to help them flesh out this concept and to bring it to their first retail location at 50th and France in Minneapolis.
Shea helped them to develop a logo so that they had a strong and instantly recognizable presence as they entered the marketplace. Shea also assisted with store layouts and provided a range of different design solutions.
Hot Mama aims to become a nationally recognized brand name within the next few years through rapid store expansion and the promotion of its web site. The first store opened in November, 2004, and they are currently working on their tenth location.
