Midtown Exchange

"...the vacant mega-site in the heart of south Minneapolis reborn as a vibrant mixed-use urban hub."

Midtown Exchange

Ryan Companies led the redevelopment of the former Sears building in Minneapolis, with the goal of revitalizing this impressive historic building into an '"urban landmark, connecting and empowering communities." Shea created a new name and brand for the planned mixed-use development, now called Midtown Exchange. The building has become home to housing, hotels, office space, restaurants and retail, including a large global market.

Shea helped to bring the vision to life by developing the interior design of common areas, graphics/signage vocabulary and space planning. Shea was also the lead design firm for the global market.
