Surdyk's Flights Debuts at MSP Airport
Surdyk’s Flights, a gourmet food and wine market with full service café and bar, opened this past weekend in the main concourse of the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport. Forum brings historic space back to life
The City Center space left vacant by Goodfellows restaurant in 2005 is headed back to the future with Forum, the latest concept from Jim and Stefanie Ringo of Ringo Restaurants, Inc. The City Center space is listed on the national historic register for its exceptional Art Deco interior. The Art Deco style, with its zigzag woodwork, etched mirrors and glass chandeliers was originally designed and built as the Saxe Moving Picture Theater in 1914. Just as they did last fall, Hot Mama has opened three new stores in a three week span. Ringo opens in West End Development
This week, Jim and Stefanie Ringo are opening Ringo, their first of two restaurants to debut this month. Last year, the pair formed Ringo Restaurants, Inc. and began planning for Ringo in a site at the Shops at West End development in St. Louis Park, and Forum Restaurant in the former Goodfellows space in City Center in Minneapolis. After being closed for a little more than a month, Chez Colette, the popular French restaurant in the Sofitel Minneapolis, is reemerging just in time for Valentine’s Day as Colette Bar & Bistro. The new name is part of a brand refresh and restaurant redesign, which is the first renovation since the hotel opened in 1975. Forum to bring historic space back to life
The City Center space left vacant by Goodfellows restaurant in 2005 is headed back to the future with Forum, the latest concept from Jim and Stefanie Ringo of Ringo Restaurants, Inc. Just as construction is underway on Ringo—the pair’s first restaurant venture in the new Shops at West End development in St. Louis Park—a deal has been reached with Brookfield Properties to take over the City Center space, which is listed on the national historic register for its art deco interior.
